Regulations
Reducing heat and glare in the workplace is not
just a question of comfort. There are regulations
enforcing this requirement as outlined below.

Regulation 7 of The Workplace (Health, Safety
and Welfare) 1992 Regulations requires that:
- During working areas, the temperature in all
workplaces inside buildings shall be reasonable.
Regulation 8 of The Workplace (Health, Safety
and Welfare) 1992 Regulations requires that:
- Where natural light would result in excessive
heat or glare at a workstation the workstation
should be repositioned or the window or skylight
should be shaded.
